About Us

The History of Luxalum — From Santa Eulália Portugal to the top of Facade Engineering in Brazil. It starts in 1958, when six Portuguese brothers arrived in Brazil. Still teenagers, they already worked in the area of window frames with a lot of work and union.

In 1972, four of them — Antonio, Artur, Lucinio, and Jorge — officially founded Luxalum. Without a landline, they walked to make calls. They worked until 11 pm, including on weekends. Each brother took on an essential role: sales, measurements, production, projects, and execution of the installation of the frames produced in the factory.

They reinvested everything in the company and in real estate, guaranteeing stability even in crises. In 1974, they bought the land for their current headquarters in Guarulhos.

A pioneer in Brazil in unitized systems, integration with Architects and Engineers, Luxalum currently has more than 10 million m² installed and dozens of awards, including the Pini Award in the years 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, Tops Pro Award 2002, Corporate Highlight Award 2003 and Nelson Firmino Award in 2022 and 2024, in the category of commercial vertical works, this award has as its main objective to highlight and motivate the aluminum framing industry, highlights innovative projects, in addition to integrating professionals in the sector, and takes the name of Engº Nelson Firmino, who was the pioneer in providing consulting in aluminum frames and glass, a great specialist with a brilliant trajectory, who collaborated in numerous important works and solutions.
